Jack Dillard passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2010, after valiantly battling leukemia for 4 years. He was born in Lubbock to parents Mae and Virgil Dillard on February 10, 1947.

After graduating from Lubbock High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country from Jan. 1966 - Dec. 1968, two of those years in Vietnam.
He attended Texas Tech and remained an avid Red Raider football fan all his life.
His entire career was spent in construction management and sales.
Survivors include Teresa (wife), Sharon (sister) and Pat, Ira and Sally, Ellen, Lawrence, Shane, Matt, Dr. Julie, Kay, Rowdy, Laurie, and more family and friends. Special thanks to incredible doctors: Brian Shimkus, Doug Rivera, Art Frankel, and Jason Melear. Extra thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice, especially Kit. Family will welcome guests at Teresa and Jack's home on Wednesday, Sept. 8, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Jack donated his body to LIFELEGACY for medical research and education, hoping that it will help in the fight against blood cancers. Memorial contributions may be made to http://pages.lightthenight.org/ctx/AustinL10/TDillard or to the charity of your choice.
