Gale Wesley Goldwater, Sr. LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Gale Goldwater at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
Our beloved Gale went to be with the Lord on Dec. 24, 2014. Services will be streamed live atwww.memorialdesigners.net, where you may also leave your condolences.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1946, to the late Carl and Mary (Henry) Goldwater, Sr. in Amarillo, Texas. After graduation from high school, Gale attended Texas Tech University before enlisting in the US Navy. He served in the Navy from 1966-1969.
In 1969, following his discharge from the Navy he joined the Lubbock Fire Department, retiring in 1996 as Deputy Chief.
He married Carole Hutcheson on Oct. 21, 1977, in Lubbock.
Gale enjoyed spending time with his family as well as in the mountains and fishing in Colorado.
Gale is survived by his loving spouse, Carole; three children, Elisabeth Conser and husband, Russ of Lubbock, Gale Wesley Goldwater, Jr. and wife, Sara of Lubbock, and Matthew Jason Goldwater and wife, Julie of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Graham Goldwater, Brie Goldwater, Eleanor Conser, Marshall Goldwater, and Henry Conser; two brothers, Carl Goldwater, Jr. of Spring, and Glenn Goldwater of Lubbock; and a sister, Barbara Mahaffey of Houston.
